Tide and Bloom: Arranging Beauty by the Bay

Tide and Bloom is part garden wander, part floral design. A relaxed way to spend a couple of hours learning how flowers actually grow and move. We'll guide you through our small flower farm, Coastal Blooms, near the Bay of Fundy. We'll share about seasonality, regenerative farming practices, and our connection to coastal living.

Bucket in hand, you’ll harvest what’s in season, whatever colours, textures, or shapes catch your eye. The ducks will likely join us. They tend to monitor activity in the field!

After gathering flowers, we’ll show you how to turn that bucket full of stems into a natural, garden-style arrangement. You'll learn tangible design principles — how to build shape, layer texture, and work with stems so they move naturally.

You'll learn about more than just design. We'll share our preferred farming and growing methods. We farm with a regenerative approach, which means we focus on soil health, biodiversity, and working with natural systems instead of against them. We'll share how our ducks play an important role in that.

You'll leave with more than just an arrangement. You'll take away a new way of looking at what is growing around you and a bit more confidence to cut and create from your own garden.

If you’re travelling and can’t take your arrangement with you, we’ll happily deliver it to Forest Dale Nursing Home, where it will be gifted to a local senior.

And as a small way to keep this work connected to the wider commubnity, $5 from every ticket goes back into the Fundy Albert Community Greenhouse - a local school-based, community-driven initative providing year-round access to fresh, local food and empowering youth through hands on learning in sustainable agriculture.

What to Bring:

To help you feel comfortable and fully enjoy your time in the garden, here’s what we recommend:

  • Reusable water bottle – Stay hydrated as you wander and create - there will be a water station for refilling.

  • Sun protection – Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses if it's a sunny day.

  • Dress for the weather – This is an outdoor rain-or-shine experience. Light layers, boots, or a rain jacket might be just right depending on the forecast.

  • Comfortable footwear – You’ll be walking and standing in the garden, so think practical over pretty.

  • Curiosity and creativity – No need for experience—just come as you are and enjoy the slow beauty of the day.

Cancellation Policy

Because our experiences are intentionally small and often have a waitlist, we ask for at least 7 days' notice if you are unable to attend.

If you need to cancel with 7+ days' notice, you can:

  • Transfer your spot to another available event

  • Receive a gift card to use towards any Coastal Blooms products or future experiences

Cancellations made with less than 7 days' notice are non-refundable, as it can be difficult to fill the space on short notice.

If you're unable to attend, you're welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else - just let us know in advance.

Thank you for understanding and helping us offer these small intentional gatherings to as many people as possible.
